Dr. Djuana Cartillar
Dr. Djuana Cartillar grew up in Bald Knob, Arkansas. She attended Lyon's College in Batesville, then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1993. She practiced general/family dentistry for nine years in Forrest City before her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist came into fruition. Dr. Cartillar left the general dental field in 2002 to serve as a pediatric dental resident for 24 months at the University of Tennessee. During residency she trained at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Crittenden Memorial Hospital, and the Arlington Developmental Facility. When she graduated in 2004, she worked in Jonesboro as a pediatric dentist for two years. In 2006, she finally realized her dream of opening Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas in Forrest City. Since this time, she has opened an additional clinic in Searcy known as Adventure Kids Dental.
Dr. Cartillar is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Association, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association. She is on staff at the Forrest City Medical Hospital.
Dr. Mackenzie Pearson, Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Mackenzie Pearson is a pediatric dentist dedicated to creating positive, lasting dental experiences for every child she treats. She believes that a child's early memories at the dentist play a crucial role in shaping their long-term oral health. With a gentle, encouraging approach, Dr. Pearson strives to make every visit enjoyable and stress-free—helping children build confidence and a bright outlook on dental care.
Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Pearson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Arkansas. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine and a Certificate in Public Health with a dental emphasis from A.T. Still University – Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Pearson is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. In recognition of her excellence in pediatric care, she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Certificate of Merit Award in 2023.
Outside of work, Dr. Pearson enjoys discovering new places and experiencing different cultures. When she’s not exploring new destinations, you’ll often find her relaxing by the water, soaking in the calm and beauty it offers. Whether adventuring or unwinding close to home, Dr. Pearson brings the same sense of curiosity and warmth to her personal life that she shares with every patient in her care.
